R&D Business Systems Analyst

Job Title: R&D Business Systems Analyst – (Veeva RIM transformation) – in terms of Data Standards and Data Migration

Job Description:

· Analyze business scenarios that may potentially be solved by the implementation of automated systems and/or modifications to business processes.

· Provide expertise in the identification, evaluation, design, development, and deployment of systems and/or processes.

· Play key role – as part of the project team or M&E – in delivery of solutions that are cost-effective, sustainable, and meet business requirements.

· Accountable for documentation, which may include, but is not limited to:

o User Requirements

o Functional and/or technical specifications

o Process flow diagrams

o Training documentation and/or work instructions

o Depending on the application and/or function, may configure system settings and/or options

o Provide consultation to customers regarding enhancement/improvement of current solutions and implementation of new solutions – both systems and processes

o Facilitate and/or support customers in UAT planning and execution

o Participate in and advise roadmap discussions; a key member of vendor assessment teams

o Drive resolution of business or systems issues

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience 
• 3+ years of business analysis, systems analysis, data analysis or related IT experience and a strong understanding of technical, finance/accounting, and operational process requirements.
• Experience with IT infrastructure, IT application technologies, frameworks and data management, and cloud-based applications, data, security, and integration architectures including data engineering, data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, preferred.
• Hands on experience in the Veeva Vault Platform and Publishing systems
• Experience in GxP computer systems validation
• Hands-on experience on the execution of Agile/SCRUM processes and repeatable, predictable, and high-quality delivery of software solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions and contribute to corporate objectives
• Strong verbal, written and facilitation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts in global remote teams
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Adobe, Harvest, Box, SharePoint
• Strong client service orientation

Job Type: Full-Time; occasional weekend and evening hours

Location: San Diego, CA (Work Remotely due to COVID-19)

• Temporarily due to COVID-19
• This position will be based out of our San Diego, California office. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position does not currently require regular in-office work (unless otherwise directed) until after Jan, 2022 at the earliest. Employee will primarily work with our internal Project Managers and Analysts. At present time, we have discouraged travel, however, as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, some local travel may be required, with additional limited overnight travel.
